Node.js upstream has marked Node 4 as unsupported. In addition,
Node 5 and 7 have been unsupported for a long while now (since June
2016 and June 2017, respectively). As such, in accordance with our
Node.js version support policy, we plan to drop support for these
Node versions in the upcoming 6.0 cycle. 5.1.x will be the last
release line to support Node 4, 5, and 7.
Administrators still using these Node versions are encouraged to
upgrade as soon as possible, as Node.js upstream is not providing
security fixes for them anymore. Anyone impacted can consider using
NodeSource binary packages to get a newer Node or switching to our
recently-announced Docker images, which use recent Node versions
